We value positive relationships with parents and carers to help develop better social and emotional skills in children. We know that when children are engaged with their learning, they attend school more regularly, leading to better long term outcomes.
St Therese’s actively and passionately connects with the community through various channels such as school newsletters, Compass student information system and app, emails, phone and our website. There are also many other opportunities throughout the year to communicate with the school, including ‘meet the teacher’ nights and weekly assemblies. Parents can also call and make an appointment to meet with a teacher if necessary.
Parents are actively encouraged to work with the school in the education of their children. Our welcoming parent group lends a hand with learning in the classroom, assisting on excursions, fundraising and events like Mother’s Day and Father’s Day. To help ensure our school maintains a safe and secure environment, all people wishing to volunteer at St Therese’s must undertake yearly Volunteer Training.
Breakfast Club provides breakfast every morning for those who are not able to eat breakfast before they leave home. This way, we ensure all children are ready to be actively involved in the learning when school begins.
